RTA Test Preparation and Car Health Check jobs we do
Pre-RTA test check
We check the items the test looks at, including the brakes, lights, tyres, emissions, windscreen and dashboard warning lights. Doing it before your appointment lowers the chance of a failed test and a second visit.
Fixing what would fail
Common fixes before the test are a blown bulb, worn tyres, thin brake pads, a cracked windscreen or an exhaust leak. Each one goes on the WhatsApp quote with parts and labour listed separately, and we start only after you approve it.
Emissions, warning lights and tint
A smoky exhaust, a check engine light or a catalytic converter fault can fail the emissions part of the test, and other warning lights left on can fail it too. We also tell you if the window tint looks darker than the legal limit, since dark tint is a common reason cars fail.
Health check before summer or a long drive
We check the battery, coolant, AC, tyres, brakes, belts and hoses, the parts most likely to fail in summer heat or on a long drive. You get the findings on WhatsApp with a quote for anything that needs work, and you decide what to fix.
RTA Test Preparation and Car Health Check questions
Do you carry out the RTA test?
No, the test itself is done at an RTA-approved test centre. We check the car beforehand and fix anything likely to fail, so you go in with fewer surprises.
What usually fails the RTA test?
Common reasons include worn tyres, faulty lights, weak brakes, exhaust smoke, a cracked windscreen and window tint darker than the legal limit. A pre-RTA check covers these, so you can sort them out before the test.
What should I do if my car failed the RTA test?
Keep the test report, because it lists what failed. Send us a photo of it on WhatsApp and we will quote for those items. Once you approve, we fix them and you take the car back to the test centre for the retest.
How much does a pre-RTA check cost?
It depends on the car and on what the check finds, since a car that only needs a bulb costs far less to get ready than one that needs tyres and brake pads. Send us the make, model and year on WhatsApp for a price, and any repairs go on a separate quote before we start.
What should I check on my car before summer?
Check the battery, the AC, the coolant and hoses, and the tyres, because heat is hardest on all four. A battery that started fine in winter can fail when the first heat arrives, and old tyres are more likely to burst on a hot road. We check all of these in a health check and send the findings on WhatsApp.
Do you collect the car?
Yes, free, anywhere in Dubai during working hours. We collect the car from your home or office, from Dubai Marina and JLT to Downtown, Business Bay, Mirdif and Dubai Silicon Oasis.
