Car Electrical Repair jobs we do
Wiring, sensors and modules
Most electrical faults come down to a corroded connector, a chafed wire or a failed sensor or module, and the symptoms can look random. We trace them with wiring diagrams and test equipment, and on Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche our dealer-level tools read every module and code replacements to the car.
Alternator and starter motor
A failing alternator shows up as a charging warning, dim lights at idle or a battery that keeps going flat, and a tired starter motor as a slow crank or a click with a good battery. We test both on the car before replacing anything, because a bad cable or earth strap can cause the same symptoms.
Battery drain
When the battery goes flat with the car parked, something is drawing power after the car should have gone to sleep. We measure the drain and narrow it down circuit by circuit to the module, light or accessory responsible.
Windows, locks and accessories
Electric windows, central locking, mirrors, seats and screens fail through worn motors and regulators, broken wires in the door hinge or a module fault. We find which part has failed, and you choose a genuine or OEM replacement.
Car Electrical Repair questions
Why does my battery go flat when the car is parked?
Something is drawing power with the car switched off, such as a module that does not go to sleep, a faulty light or an accessory like a dashcam. An old battery that can no longer hold its charge in the heat can look the same. We measure the drain and trace it to the circuit responsible.
How do I know if the alternator is failing?
A battery or charging warning light, headlights that dim at idle, a whine from the engine bay or a new battery that soon goes flat are the usual signs. We test the charging voltage with the engine running, which shows whether the alternator or the battery is at fault.
Why does my car only click when I try to start it?
A single click usually means the starter is getting the signal but not enough power, from a weak battery, a corroded terminal or a bad earth cable. If the battery tests fine and the cables are good, the starter motor or its solenoid has usually failed. Rapid clicking almost always points to a flat battery.
How much does car electrical repair cost?
It depends on what has failed, since a corroded connector or a broken wire costs far less than a new alternator, starter motor or module. Genuine and OEM parts differ in price, and you choose. We find the fault first and send the quote on WhatsApp with parts and labour listed separately.
Why has my electric window stopped working?
Usually the motor or the regulator inside the door has worn out, especially if you heard grinding or clicking before it stopped. A broken wire in the rubber sleeve between the door and the body, a faulty switch or a blown fuse can do the same.
